[…and your plans will be established]
Alright! She’s on her mark, and she believes that she’s set this time! The crowd roars, “No, not again! Just watch her bolt off the line and trip over herself!”
It’s true, I have a bad track record of rushing things. It’s embarrassing, and I’ve felt the sting of it. Nevertheless, this year I have a new game plan (Let’s pray that I stick to it!)
First up, I need to stop and pray about everything. Secondly, I need to examine things closely, and last, but never least, I need to keep committing everything I do to the Lord. This sounds like wisdom to me. Unfortunately, I’ve already rushed head long into a new endeavor. Will I ever learn? Thankfully, my work seems to be established there as well.
Wisdom
Speaking of wisdom, growing in wisdom is big on my radar. Apparently, it’s also very needed, so I’ve been diving back into Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Expect there to be some words on wisdom up ahead.
Friendship and Fellowship
Though I experienced some troubled seas in 2019, both of these “ships” are still very much on my agenda. Community is so important, even so, I’m learning some things as I examine myself and Scripture. As I do, I’m adjusting my sails. More to come in future posts…
Sharing
In 2020 I will reveal more of my testimony as I revisit the events that lead up to meeting my hubby and answering God’s call, including the story of how Andrew and I met.
On top of this, I have a tale of two kitties that have been in my drafts for a while now. They’re just itching to be shared!
The Recipe
This year’s list of ingredients will also include some anecdotes, music, and as always, there will be plenty of theology. Throw in a dash of fun facts, plenty of hope and a whole lot of truth, and the recipe for 2020 is starting to come together. Who knows what else this new year will hold! There are always some unexpected flavors. Unfortunately, they’re sometimes due to my own oversights. (Wha-wha-wha)
Yeah… it’s easy to forget an ingredient. Thankfully, the Lord never fails to work everthing for good to those who love and trust Him.
“It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in God.” –Proverbs 16:20 (MSG)
Set Your Heart!
I’m counting on 2020 to be a year full of growth and great surprises. Nonetheless, even if we hit some bumps along the way, let’s be commited to keeping our hearts set on things above.
“So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” –Psalm 90:12 (NKJV)
Don’t Forget to Enjoy Life!
Now that all of that has been established, let me tell you about my new endeavor: I’ve started a Poetry blog to be more creative (among other things).
If you’re interested, follow Pippi’s Poetry <—-right there. The purpose for this new blog, and why the title was chosen, is explained on my site, simply click the “Read On” button on the home page. If you’re not a huge poetry fan, there will definitely be a little more than just poetry to come.
P.S. “God’s Kid Speak’s” isn’t going anywhere. This “bird” is simply putting her eggs in another basket. 😀 How about you? Is your heart set?
The last step needs no explanation, really–simply go. Be fruitful and multiply, in a manner of speaking: Double your joy by sharing the love of Christ. 😀 (1 John 1:3-4 Matthew 28:19-20) Have a Happy and spiritually healthy 2020!
With love,
Tina
