[The sweetness of a friend]
Alright! So she’s on deck again, and she has a lot to unpack. Why is she speaking in third person? I don’t know. She does this sometimes, but mostly on Facebook. (Haha)
Friendships
I’ve got a lot on my mind about friendships. They can be a sweet and beautiful thing, but since we’re all human we also make our mistakes. Smooth sailing may turn to troubled seas, and friends can drift apart or experience tidal waves. We can’t always prevent this from happening, but there are things we can learn from every experience, and I’m intent on learning. How about you?
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”–Romans 12:18
Shipwrecks
Some seasons definitely take the wind out of your sails. Despite the shipwrecks, however, I’ve got my sights set on plowing forward. I hope you are as well!
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” –Philipians 3:14
Fellowships
Fellowship is so important! Christian fellowship is a truly special thing. It exists only because of the new covenant that God the Father made with all humankind through Jesus Christ, The Son.
Those of us who believe the gospel (the true message about Jesus) have received the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) who works to unite us in one mind, spirit and purpose (Philipians 2:1-4 , Romans 15:5-13 ) This creates a tie that binds us in love, as John Fawcett expressed in his hymn Blessed Be The Tie That Binds. Apparently this hymn was included under the title of “Brotherly Love” in Fawcett’s Hymns Adapted to the Circumstances of Public Worship and Private Devotion (1782). This is really speaking to me as two of my dear brothers in Christ passed away in the last two years. (One just last month.) This tie is so strong that it causes us deep sorrow when those “ships” come to carry home our kindred spirits.
On that note I’m dedicating the following song to my dear big brother, Chuck, right now, but my next post will be my full tribute to him. 😢😢😢 All of that being said…
I’m glad to be part of a blogging community where we can come together and not only share the good news about Jesus, but we can also fellowship together with those who are like-minded, to sharpen one another as we share both our burdens and our joy. ❤
” For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine” –Romans 1:11-12

Faith-Filled Friends
Faith-filled friends are beautiful indeed
No matter the distance, no matter the need
They lend you an ear
And offer advice
With kindness they call
To brighten your life.
Faith-filled friends are a special seed
If you find one be diligent to thoroughly weed
For fellowship needs tending
It won’t bloom without care
It needs thoughtfulness and compassion
And a heart that is fair.
It takes two to be it’s keeper
Should one falter fellowship falls
For all flowers fade when disease invades
When winter’s frost bites no one calls.
Faith-filled friends they bend and sway
They know when to call, and when to stay away
They steady the course
True north till the end
Count yourself truly blessed if you’ve found such a friend.

Yay! You’re back! How Autumn and I have missed you. I hope you’re doing well and have found good rest while you were away. 💞💞
Yep! I’m back! I have missed you too. 😀 About a third of my blogging break was a bit of a battle. So not so restful…but God is good. Things are looking up, or I am anyways, and I’m itching to get back to blogging and fellowshiping. ❤
Oh, I’m so sorry Tina! I hope you are much better now and glad to hear things are looking up again. 🤗 So encouraging! Yes, we’ve missed you…..Autumn hasn’t wanted to blog without you! She loves that you get her! 😉😙😙😙
Awwwwww. Okay, that makes me feel good. 😊 It goes both ways. I feel the same about both of you. It’s so nice to know people who get us, isn’t it? 😀 Love you both and I can’t wait to read your posts! ❤

Welcome back! Friends are something that have been on my mind a lot these past few months. Wonderful post and lovely poem 😊
Thanks, Bridget. It’s good to be back. I spent a good portion of my break wrestling with the devil, but God is good to answer when I need help sorting out the confusion! He is the peace in the middle of the whirlwind. So I shall keep keepin’ on by His strength in me. 😊
God is so good and will always be there when we call on Him! I am sorry you had a rough time away. But glad that the Lord brought victory! 💜✝️💜
