I understand! It is a great title and mesage. That’s forsure. Andrew and I are really being fed well on this Baptist church’s sermons. Pastor Rhys is from England, but this church is in Georgia. He sometimes talks about how God moved him to the States. (The states…thats very Canadian. I don’t image that you call your country the States. He he.)
But, yeah. Amazing church. Here in Canada we attended The Pentecostal Assemblies of God churches, so Andrew says that we are Bapticostals now. Lol.
LOL sometimes if Iโm talking to my old foreign-exchange student Iโll refer to it as the states!!! ๐๐๐
I grew up going to a Baptist Church I was just too naรฏve to listen well and Iโm sure what they were teaching was solid but I certainly wasnโt, too impressionable with worldly ways at the time…our current church is an Evangelical Free church and we love it…
Bapticostals thatโs awesome!! My phone did not want to type that name!!
Lol, oh really? I didn’t know that American’s said “the States” usually I get a questioning, “the states?” Hehe. ๐
Ya I donโt think itโs common lol…probably just a Witt house thing and if weโre being silly…honestly we probably picked it up from when we hosted our exchange student!๐
Lol…. the “Witt” house huh? Did you type that on purpose, or was that a humorous and fitting typo? Lol. They are very silly at the Witt house lol! I love it! ๐
Lol Witt, itโs our last name!!๐
OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Lol. I thought you were trying to type White House! That’s embarrassing, but funny! ๐
Hahahaha
I just listen and oh, I thank you! I loved it. A few take aways, I wrote down were “……not to have our greeds met but our needs met.” and “The cross makes the bitter—better.”
I also loved his plane circling metaphor and am guilty of the cycle of not trusting, complaining and then God helping me only to repeat the cycle. I’m thankful for this convicting message. Loved this Tina!๐
I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the sermon, Vivian! I loved the plane circling metephor as well. It was perfect for my “flying lessons.” The other bits you quoted there are great too. ๐
I was wondering why the White House would say the states. Lol!!! Ugh, my brain. ๐
Hey I know I wonโt get a chance to watch this video but I definitely love the post title!!

Thank you for the sermon Tina! I’m saving it right now. ๐
Oh great! It was very good! Andrew and I really enjoy Pastor Rhys’ sermons. We listened to this one this morning.
I’m really looking forward to it Tina. I have never heard him preach before and love to learn more on the topic of despair. ๐๐๐ค
