I was over eager!
I was ready to soar!
Then my engine seized, and I searched for the shore
I’d taken off like grease lightning!
Sure we’d light up the sky!
But soon I was sputtering, and we were starting to dive
So I braced for the impact, and I called out Your name
You said ”Let go. I am with you. Let the Pilot fly this plane.”
Then this storm became an ocean and we were drifting out at sea
The waves kept on crashing
But You had Your eyes on me
I was sure that I’d go under, but you told me who I am
A child of the King
Safe in Your hands
You calmed the typhoon within me as You threw down Your rope
Like a beacon on the water Your light reached out like hope
There’s always comfort in your presence
For You’re the anchor of my soul.

“God wanted to prove that His promise was true to those who would get what He promised. And He wanted them to understand clearly that His purposes never change, so He made an oath. These two things cannot change: God cannot lie when he makes a promise, and He cannot lie when He makes an oath. These things encourage us who came to God for safety. They give us strength to hold on to the hope we have been given. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and strong. It enters behind the curtain in the Most Holy Place in heaven, where Jesus has gone ahead of us and for us. He has become the high priest forever, a priest like Melchizedek.” –Hebrews 6:17-20(NCV)
