My Answer

My answer is You, Lord

The One that I need

When I can’t see the solution

When I’m clenching my teeth

The Answer is you, Lord

When the waves start to rise

When the wind whirls within me

And I’m fighting with pride

My answer is you, Lord

When I’m losing the shore

When I’m bailing like mad

And my heart hits the floor

My answer is simple

I turn my eyes to You and say:

“Fix my eyes Lord

 and hold me

Don’t let me get away!”

You’ve turned my laughter to crying

But you wanted it so

You’re a Teacher

And a Father

You intend for me to grow

So my answer is Jesus

When the day seems a fight

For tomorrow’s a new day

And the end is in sight.

“When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.” –Mark 6:34 ❤

I have a new favorite verse. ❤

REST

Wrestling

I hate wrestling

The Spirit is willing

But the flesh is weak

Thoughts churn

They tumble round and round

Feelings

Emotions

Highs

Lows

Joy

Pain

Wrestling

I hate wrestling

The Spirit is willing

But the flesh is weak

The heart aches

It fights with all it’s might

Knowledge

Thoughts

Misunderstanding

Clueless

Pride

Confession

Humbling

Prayer

Rest

Thank God that we don’t have to figure it all out. ❤ There is rest even in the wrestling.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Phillipians 4:6-7

  1. 💜💜💜 these!!
Finding rest within the struggle like when Jacob wrestled with God. I couldn’t imagine how he felt at that moment. We know after how he was blessed but what was his thought process during?🤔🤔

Love the pic you chose for He is the lighthouse, that guiding light.

    1. Thank you! Yeah… I guess sometimes God has to wrestle things out of us. I’m glad that He does, but it’s definitely an ongoing process. Yes, He sure is that guiding light. A very compassionate guiding light. ❤ I'm thankful for that too. 🙂
