[They exchanged the truth about God for a lie]
Looking back on past Christmases, I’m sad to think of all the times I didn’t appreciate the gift that I was given and was disappointed when I saw others receiving (what I perceived as) so much more. I’m glad that I’m not that version of me, today. In fact, if I didn’t receive a single gift this Christmas, I couldn’t care less, because I have more than I need and the greatest gift of all–Jesus.
He’s the Unexchangeable Gift. He is the One that was neither wanted nor appreciated, but He Himself could care no less. In fact, no one can match His love and His care. He is the gift that keeps on giving (more than I dreamed, much more than I deserved) and the One that I’m not willing to exchange.
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.”
–Romans 1:25
